The North Carolina (NC) Family Support ECHO™ program was created to help family support specialists meet the needs of individuals who care for a family member with I/DD. Keeping families informed and able to provide care and support is key to maintaining the health of the individual with I/DD and the family unit. The ECHO model promotes a person- and family-centered philosophy with an emphasis on shared learning and connections.
